The following case discussions were broadcast live from the Johns Hopkins Center for Clinical Global Health Education. These cases are presented and discussed between care providers at Johns Hopkins University, Byramji Jeejeebhoy Medical College (BJMC) and National AIDS Research Institute (NARI).

Case: 39 58 yo HIV+ man with HIV, last CD4 114, VL <50 1mo prior, presents with 3 month week hx of bi-frontal headache, which has worsened over the past week. He also reports photophobia, sweats and fatigue.

Case:38 69 yo HIV+ man from Jamaica, last CD4 159, VL 24K 1mo prior, presents with 2-3 week hx of headache, fever and lethargy, per his wife. The patient is unable to give a history. His symptoms began with fever and rigors. He subsequently developed sore throat, malaise and anorexia. In Jan 2010, he had a fall with head trauma and a 10 minute loss of consciousness.
