How to Request an Appointment
In order to schedule an appointment at any Kennedy Krieger clinic, a child’s parents/caregivers must complete an Inquiry Form, providing all required demographic and other information. Once this form is processed, you will receive a Medical Records request detailing the reports, evaluations, test results and other information necessary to evaluate your child’s eligibility for our programs. Typically, the director is able to review these documents and make initial recommendations within three days of receipt.
Before an appointment is scheduled, international families must provide credit card and wire transfer information. After these requirements have been met, Kennedy Krieger will contact you to schedule an initial evaluation.
Please let us know when we contact you if your child requires any special equipment. Appointments are usually set within four to six weeks of an initial request. You will receive an appointment confirmation letter via e-mail or fax. This letter will also explain fees assessed for missed appointments.
Once appointments are scheduled, international families will have access to a Johns Hopkins International Patient Coordinator, who will assist you and you family with interpretation, accommodations, travel arrangements and other needs before and during scheduled visits.
