Johns Hopkins International understands that Middle Eastern patients traveling to Johns Hopkins require the highest level of service from our Middle East Division. Our role is to help answer your questions and to expeditiously handle all arrangements related to your medical visit or second opinion request.

We encourage you to contact the Middle East Division and our Patient Services Coordinator will gladly assist you in the language of your choice. Should you decide to come to Johns Hopkins, a Patient Coordinator will be assigned to you for the duration of your visit to ensure that your stay at Johns Hopkins is as comfortable as possible.
Three international airports serve the Baltimore, Maryland, region: Baltimore-Washington International (BWI), Washington-Dulles (IAD) and New York’s John F. Kennedy (JFK). Most major Middle Eastern airlines fly to IAD or JFK via connecting flights from many European cities. Reaching BWI from JFK requires a connecting flight to Baltimore after clearing U.S. customs. If you prefer, we can arrange ground transfer to your accommodations in Baltimore via chauffeured limousine at your request. Your Johns Hopkins International representative or your travel agent can help you find the option that best meets your needs.
Most visitors and patients to the United States have to obtain a visa. Applicants should allow extra time for the visa clearance process when planning travel to the United States. Before arriving to the US, patients seeking visa need to make sure they have the following information from Johns Hopkins Hospital:
Copy of appointment confirmation letter
Estimate of the cost of treatment
Proof of payment or ability to pay
